Services on Delhi Metro red line to be affected Sunday

New Delhi, May 23 (IANS): Delhi Metro train services between Inderlok and Pitampura on the red line will be affected Sunday due to maintenance work, a statement said Friday.

According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), only one line would remain operational between the two stations.

"Train services between Inderlok and Pitampura will be available only on a single line on Sunday (May 25) due to maintenance work," said the statement.

The maintenance work would be carried between 5 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. and trains would be available at a frequency of 7 to 15 minutes instead of the routine 5 to 12 minutes between Inderlok and Dilshad Garden while the frequency between Inderlok and Rithala would be of 24 minutes against the usual 5 to 12 minutes.

Though, the repairs are scheduled to be carried out on May 24, (Saturday) as well but due to the timing - between 11 p.m. and 12.45 a.m., it will have no impact on train frequencies, the DMRC said.

In addition, trains from Kanhaiya Nagar to Kohat Enclave stations will be available from platform no. 2 while platform no.1 will remain closed.
