10 killed in Iraq violence


Baghdad, June 6 (IANS): At least 10 people were killed and 56 wounded Friday in a car bomb attack and clashes in Iraq, police said.

Seven people were killed and 46 injured when two car bombs exploded in a village in Nineveh's provincial capital of Mosul, a police source told Xinhua.

In western Mosul, three policemen were killed and 10 injured in clashes with militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL), an Al Qaeda breakaway group in Iraq, the police source said.
