Kunal M Shah for Mumbai Mirror
The shooting of director Madhur Bhandarkar's film Traffic Signal has been stalled owing to the havoc wreaked by the incessant rains in Mumbai. Not only has the director lost two days but will also have to re-arrange actors' dates. A worried Madhur says, "Yes, I had around 40 actors, including those from theatre and TV, for my schedule. The worst part is that managing these actors' dates to shoot for one or two days, will be a Herculean task."
"We had booked so many imported cars, BEST buses, autorickshaws, taxis and shooting equipment like cranes, steady camps etc. These are not easy to arrange. Rain has really hampered my schedule," he says. Besides the monetary losses and actors' date problems, Madhur has another problem too. He had rounded up three eunuch and several beggars, for his shoot. But since it began pouring incessantly, all of them disappeared. "Now, I have to hunt afresh for eunuchs and beggars and convince them to shoot with us," he grumbles. Evidently, problems comes in various forms for filmmakers.
