Tehran, Aug 4 (IANS): An emergency meeting of the Palestine Committee of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) commenced Monday in this Iranian capital to resolve the Gaza crisis, a media report said.

The one-day meeting is aimed at focusing on the Gaza crisis and the ways for dispatching humanitarian supplies to the people of the besieged coastal enclave, IRNA news agency reported..

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif has invited the 13 members of the committee - Palestine, India, Algeria, Egypt, Senegal, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Colombia and Cuba - to participate in the meeting.

Delegates from other countries have also been invited.

On Sunday, Zarif called on the international community to act and put an immediate end to the ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Gaza.

"The crimes committed by the Israeli regime in the blockaded enclave should be pursued by the International Criminal Court in The Hague and the UN Human Rights Council," Zarif said.
