Gurgaon, Sep 3 (IANS): The World Health Organisation (WHO) has allocated $450,000 for health projects in Haryana, Rakesh Gupta, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Haryana, said Wednesday.
Gupta was speaking at a three-day workshop on "Implementation Research proposal development" organised by 'Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research', the WHO and National Health Mission, Haryana, which concluded here Wednesday.
Gupta said that some of the projects address the burning issues in state like implementation of community treatment of pneumonia in children, management of high risk pregnant women, management of severe acute malnutrition at community level, extension of health care to poorest and hard to reach areas.
"World Health Organisation will fund these projects and have allocated $450,000 for this initiative," he said.
