SpiceJet's passengers approach police after service halt

New Delhi, Dec 17 (IANS): At least ten SpiceJet passengers Wednesday approached police complaining against the company for halting services without informing them at the Indira Gandhi International airport here.

The police, however, did not file any formal complaint and the service resumed in the evening.

"Many passengers came to us but we did not file any complaint as the matter was not concerned with us. Their complaints have been forwarded to the concerned authority," a police officer told IANS.

Hundreds of SpiceJet passengers were stranded across India after the oil marketing companies (OMC) refused to provide jet fuel to the company due to non-payment of dues.

The company resumed operations at 4 p.m. after an understanding was reached with the OMCs.
