Gautam Buragohain for Indiatimes

Mumbai, Feb 3: Vijay Arora, best known for his performance in the hit 70’s musical ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’, passed away at his residence here early on Saturday February 3. The 62-year-old veteran actor of many films was suffering from an intestinal ailment for the last few months and passed away due to complications arising out of it, his family said.

Arora shot into the limelight with ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’ along with Zeenat Aman which had music by R D Burman. Later Arora shifted to television and acted in many serials including the Ramanand Sagar hit epic ‘Ramayana’. Arora was also an accomplished cinematographer and had shot some recent films like the Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Vaastav’, and Bachchan starrer ‘Viruddh’.

His last film was Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Dus’ starring Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan and Zayed Khan.
