Abu Dhabi - March 30:  Fr Eugene Mattioli former Parish Priest of Abu Dhabi Parish and founder of Abu Dhabi Church was felicitated on his Golden Jubilee of his Sacerdotal Ordination by the Parishioners of Abu Dhabi on Thursday March 29, 2007 at a imposing ceremony at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Abu Dhabi.


   
 

The Ceremony commenced with the concelebrated Mass with Fr Eugene being the Main Celebrant. The Holy Mass was followed by Cultural programme presented by the various Communities to show their love to their beloved former priest.

 

Fr Eugene completed 50 years as a priest on 16th March 2007, which was celebrated in Jebel Ali a few days ago.  He began his priestly mission in Florence in Italy where he was ordained, then moved onto places like, Ireland, Aden, Bahrain, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and currently he is serving as Parish Priest at Jebel Ali Parish




 

 

 

Fr. Varghese Chempoly, VP Minister (CGPV Arabia) and Fr.Saveri Muthu - Parish Priest of Abu Dhabi spoke on this occasion, highlighting Fr. Eugene's greatness and his love and dedicated service to the people around the Gulf Area and to other missions.

Fr Eugene thanked and expressed his gratitude to the parishioners for their love and explained how the Church of Abu Dhabi was formed in 1960's and said the people of Abu Dhabi have a special place in his heart.
