Puttur, May 18: A sand laden lorry fell down from the bridge injuring one person at Kubra near here.

The incident happened on Sunday morning. The lorry carrying sand hit the bridge near Kumbra and fell down from the bridge as a result.

The cleaner of the lorry Mujahid Pasha was taken to a hospital in Mangaluru with injuries The driver of the lorry Ravi escaped from the accident scene.

The lorry with the Tamilnadu registration was carrying sand to Bengaluru, it is revealed.

There was a traffic conjunction after the accident on the road.

Puttur rural police have registered a case.
