Partagal, Canacona, Apr 18: The prestigious 'Vidyadhiraj Award' for the year 2006 has been conferred on Infosys Technologies chairman Padma Bhushan Nandan Nilekani. The Award was presented in a special ceremony held at the Partagali Math at Partagal, Canacona-Goa.

The Vidyadhiraj Award has been instituted by the Partagali Math, Goa and is presented every year to a peak personality from the Saraswat Community.
 
The award was presented by Shrimad Vidyadhiraj Teerth Shripad Wader Swami of the Partagali Math in the presence of Shri Sadyojat Shankarashram Swami of the Chitrapur Math and the chairman of the Partagali Math Committee Shrinivas Dempo.
 
The award carries a citation, a memento in the form of a replica of the ancient 'Vatavruksha' banyan tree at the Partagal and rupees twentyfive thousand in cash.

    This is a good job . Every GSB/Saraswat should do something like this so that the people who are not able to attend such functions can view such programmes from the net. thanks
