Panaji, May 26: The Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) is in CD controversy again.
This time a CD comprising leader of opposition Manohar Parrikar's speeches in the state legislative assembly has been objected to by the election commission.
"Halla Boll", an audio CD compiling speeches by Parrikar, BJP's chief ministerial candidate, has been objected to by election commission. The election commission has issued a notice to the BJP over the CD.
"We have issued a notice and also asked the police to file an FIR in this regards," returning officer Garima Gupta told reporters in Panaji.
While the BJP feels that the Cd is educational and motivational one, the election commission does not seem to be in a mood to buy the argument.
"The CD is compilation of the speeches made on the floor of the house by leader of opposition with reference to the debate on governance," BJP's national general secretary, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who is busy on his Goa assignment, stated. He said that this capsule of speeches have been given to the workers much before commencement of election for education and motivational purpose.
