Pakistan shelling forces border residents to migrate

Jammu, Aug 30 (IANS): Pakistan Rangers fired two mortar shells towards a BSF post on the international border in Jammu district, with many families in the border villages began migrating to safer places.

"Pakistan Rangers fired two mortar shells towards a Border Security Force outpost on the international border during Saturday night. Our troops did not retaliate," a senior police officer told IANS here.

Meanwhile, many families living in villages close to the international border in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts began migrating to safer places on Saturday afternoon due to frequent targeting of civilian areas by Pakistan Rangers.

During this month, nine civilians have been killed and nearly 30 injured in Pakistan shelling of civilian areas on the Line of Control and the international border in Jammu and Kashmir.

Why cannot our troops retaliate or carry out heavy shelling on the Pakistan Rangers post so that they move away from our border area instead of our people migrating to a safer places. Are we exhausted with our arms & ammunition. We need to deal with them like Israel does. Tit for tat in a strong way.
