Mangaluru: Konkani natak sabha holds dance competition

Mangaluru, Sep 2: The 15th inter-parish dance competition was organized for the parishioners of Mangaluru diocese by the Konkani Natak Sabha (KNS) Mangaluru at Don Bosco hall here on Sunday, August 30.


























































The competition was inaugurated by Elias Fernandes, Managing Director of Four Winds Mass communication with KNS president Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza.

The competition was held in three categories,below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in ladies duet, gents duet, mixed group and married couple.

213 participants in 72 entries from 14 parishes took part in the competition.

In the below-15 year’s category, Bondel parish bagged the first place while Milagres parish stood second and Bejai in the third place.

In the above-15 years category Cordel bagged the first place, Ashoknagar parish second and Bondel, Bejai and Urva third place.

Sweety Jane Monteiro, Maria Deepa Penha and Thomas John D were the judges.

Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Raymond D’Cunha and Floyd D’mello compered the programme. Convenor Florine D’Souza introduced the judges. KNS general secretary Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks and Convenor Tresa Pinto, announced the results.
