Army porter injured in Jammu and Kashmir firing


Jammu, Nov 29 (IANS): An army porter was injured in an overnight firing by the guerrillas on an army post in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Sunday.

Ramiz Raja, 22, was injured in militant firing on an army post along the line of control in Saujiyan sector, a police official told IANS here.

"Infiltrating militants are responsible for the incident. It was a stand off firing incident."

The porter was shifted to hospital for treatment.

Ramiz had sustained multiple bullet injuries, but his condition was stable, doctor said.
