Mangaluru, Dec 1 : Daijiworld is on the threshold of completing its 15th year, and in celebration of this milestone, the third season of 'Miss Daijiworld' contest will be held for girls aged between 16 and 28. The unique photogenic contest had been successfully held twice before - in the year 2005-06 and 2010-11 during Daijiworld's 5th and 10th anniversaries.
As last time, well-known Abu Dhabi-based Hyssna International LLC has come forward to support the event this season too. This time, the winner will get a cash prize of Rs 1 lac, apart from being crowned 'Hyssna Miss Daijiworld 2015' and appointed as brand ambassador for Daijiworld Group of Media for the year 2016.
The runner-up will receive Rs 50,000 cash prize and second runner-up will receive Rs 25,000. Along with cash prizes, a number of gift vouchers and goodies will be given away to the winners and finalists.
The finale will be held on February 5, 2016 in Mangaluru, where Daijiworld.com's 15th anniversary will also be celebrated in a grand manner amidst a galaxy of guests and invitees.
In the first edition of the contest in 2005, Melita Pinto was crowned Miss Daijiworld, out of over 400 entries that were received. In 2010, it was Anjali Shetty from Mangaluru who bagged the title among 1,200-odd entries.
The rules and regulations will explain the terms of the contest. In the initial stage, 12 participants will be selected for the qualifying round. The photographs of the twelve contestants will go online for public voting on daijiworld. Only 50% of the public votes for each contestant will be considered for qualifying for the final round, and the rest 50% will be decided by a professional panel of judges.
Six contestants will be selected for the final round. Only those who can make it to Mangaluru on February 5 for the final round are requested to apply. The final round will involve a brief ramp walk and a simple question-and-answer session.
