Mangalore, Sep 9:  Sheer determination to save Kannada can only save Kannada, declared Pradeep Kalkura S, president of  DK Zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishad ,  in his inaugural address at the Awareness Convention of Kannada in the border taluk, held in Akshaya auditorium at Vittal here recently.

The programme was organized in association with Kannada Development Authority, Bangalore, Kannada and culture department, Mangalore and the Government PU Colleges, Vittal. 

Love and loyalty towards Kannada can only bring life to conventions like this, asserted Vittal MLA K Padmanabha Kotari, MLA of Vitla in his presidential address.  

The programme was chaired by prof Shankar Bhat, principal of Government PU College of Vitla.

Girish Bhat Ajakkala, Kannada lecturer of Vittal College welcomed the gathering.  Sujay proposed the vote of thanks while Subbappa Kaikamba, lecturer of the said college, compered the programme.
