Kasargod, Feb 8: In a sad incident, two brothers allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Perla here. The incident came to light on Monday February 8.

Nagesh (24) and his brother Umesh (22) were found hanging from a tree near their house at Pertaje, Perla.

It is learnt that on Sunday February 7, Nagesh and Umesh had been to attend a programme at Bajekudlu, and after returning home in the evening, Nagesh once again went out saying he was going to Perla town. After some time, Umesh followed suit.

Both did not return home. On Monday morning, worried family members and locals searched for the brothers, and found them hanging from a tree some distance away from the house.

The reason for taking the extreme step is not yet known. No suicide note was found.

Both were coolie workers. Their father Shivaram passed away a year ago, and they are survived by mother Saraswati and a younger brother named Harish.

The bodies were sent for post-mortem.

Badiadka police arrived at the spot and registered a case.

Watching the surroundings it reminds us of poverty and hard living condition of these people.
For the remaining family members it is going to be nightmarish to sustain life with the tragic memories and hard life in front of them.
Mother and son must take courage to face and continue with life.
