Mangalore: 'Nicholson’ Confesses of Cheating Many Priests

Mangalore, Sep 20: Further to a detailed report published on daijiworld.com on Thursday September 20 morning, on an attempt to cheat Fr John Walter Mendonca of Kayyar parish, several phone calls received at daijiworld Mangalore office have revealed that Nicholson has cheated many priests before Fr Mendonca managed put him behind bars with the help of Kumbla police
During police interrogation, Nicholson alias Richard has confessed of having cheated many priests in Punjab, Goa and Himachal Pradesh etc.
The Kumbla police arrested him on September 11, when he tried to dupe Fr John Walter Mendonca, parish priest of Kayyar church.
During interrogation Nicholson alias Richard admitted that he had earlier duped a priest in Chandigarh of Rs 7 lac, Rs 10.5 lac each to priests in Shimla and Goa. Moreover, he tried to dupe Fr John Walter Mendonca, few days ago by demanding US $ 7,500. However, Fr Mendonca complained to the police at the right time, who arrested him and later the court remanded him to police custody for 15 days.
A priest from Chandigarh, whom he has duped, has already contacted Kumbla police and provided details about the fraud. The police have continued the probe to expose further frauds by him.
