Mangaluru, Mar 23: A 1000-seat community hall, 'Kootakkala Auditorium', constructed at Kudroli Goddess Bhagavati temple at Kodiyalbail here, was dedicated to the general public recently.
In his benedictory address, Sri Satyanandateertha Swamiji of Shivagiri, Kerala, urged people to look upon mothers with a sense honour and rverence in every house, and thus, in turn, provide scope for sense of patriotism to get ignited in everyone's home. He said that people who earnestly imbibe consciousness about religion and righteousness can achieve nearness to god and liberation.
"Goddess Bhagavati was created as per the resolve of the Almighty. Kudroli, where Godess Bhagavati had settled down, is holy. All the people should move ahead unitedly by giving support to the concept of joint family. With this aim, 'Kootakkala Auditorium' has been built. I wish that progremmes and functions being organized at this hall will prove auspicious for everyone concerned," he wished.
B N Girish, vice president of Ocean Pearl Hotels Pvt Ltd, inaugurated. Honorary president of the temple, Rophidas Bangera Mumbai, unveiled the plaque. Those connected with the temple including Gurikars lighted the lamp, K Sudarshan Kudupu, public prosecutor for Central Bureau of Investigation's Anti Corruption branch at Hyderabad, inaugurated the meeting dais. President of the temple committee, Ganesh Kuntalpady, presided.
Vijay Suvarna, Reiki Master from Sri Sai Healing Centre, Madukody, participated as honorary guest. Leads Group owner, Kishore D Shetty and chartered accountant, Jagannath Kamath, were chief guests of the function. On this occasion, a number of people who contributed for the construction of the auditorium in various ways were honoured.
General secretary of the temple, Sudhir B Jappu, welcomed. Managing trustee, K Narayana, delivered introductory address. Vice president, Lokesh Bolar, proposed vote of thanks. Dinesh Ira compered the programme. At the end, a programme of devotional music was presented by Tonse Pushkal Kumar and group.
