Sullia: Request to remove scarf during photo session ends in conflict

Sullia, Apr 1: A group photo session, which was supposed to capture the smiling faces, turned into a conflict on Wednesday, March 30 here. The matter only ended after a protest was held on Thursday by students and after the police intervened.

The unpleasant incident happened at a private college in Sullia. During a photo session on Wednesday, a lecturer asked some girl students to remove scarves they wore. The students objected to this.

The next day, students belonging to CFI local unit protested in front of the college condemning the demand to remove scarves during the photo session.

Sullia town police later called both the parties to the police station and asked them not to create such problems in the future. Protest was cancelled after that.
