With entertainment aplenty, Tulu Koota 'Rasamanjari' enraptures Kuwait

Kuwait, Apr 2: Tulu Koota Kuwait (TKK), for the 16th year in succession, led by president Harish Bhandary, organized "Rasamanjari 2016" on Friday April 1 at the American International School, Kamel Al Rayes Auditorium, Maidan Hawally, Kuwait from 4:30 pm onwards.

The melodious event featured performances by prominent artistes from Mangaluru, singer and composer Sandesh Babanna, melodious singer Rashmi Naravi, the charming singer and dancer Ashwin D'Costa, Asianet fame singing star Preethi Warriar, renowned musician from Kannada music industry Deepak Jayasheelan along with Renita Raina and Kuwait's popular multi-talented singer, actor and comedian MC Jaison Lasrado. The glittering stage and 6-piece live music was the added flavour of the event.

Tulu Koota successfully attracts larger audiences year after year with its top-quality programmes every year. The gathered music-lovers enjoyed every moment of the event. The programme started with the traditional lighting of lamp by president Harish Bhandary along with the managing committee for the year 2016 and event sponsors. A welcome dance was performed by Heart Beatz, choreographed by Lalson and Anoop.

MC Jaison Lasrado with his superb punch of multi-lingual compering entered the stage with guitar singing "Give me some sun shine... Give me some rain...." (an inspiration song from 3 Idiots) and introduced the musicians and artistes with his unique style. Patriotic medley sung by all the four guest artistes was simply memorable. The mesmerized entry of Sandesh Babanna with the song 'Porlude porlu porlu Tulunadu' gave a quick start to the event. The evening was filled with superb soul stirring music, songs, style and performances by visiting artistes to the tune of Deepak Jayasheelan. Visiting artistes Sandesh Babanna Pajinakodi, Rashmi Naravi, Ashwin D’Costa and Preethi Warrior along with local singer Renita Raina rocked the stage with the choicest selection of energetic Kannada, Tulu, Hindi and Konkani music and dance tunes.

The music mood started with multilingual solo and duet songs Porlude porlu porlu tulunadu (Tulu), Bandeya balina belakagi (kannada), Kalza Thar (Konkani), Pyar Ka tofa mera (Hindi), Bhagiratammna per (Tulu), Ye Cheduva tuja moga (Konkani), Prem ratan dhan payo (Hindi), Mattuda ponne ninna (Tulu), Sutta mutta yaaru illa (Kannada), Aaj ki paarty (Hindi), Dennana Dennana (Tulu), Akka pakka (Kannada), Geruva (Hindi), Chittiyaan kalaiyaan ve (Hindi) and many more.

In between songs, rib-tickling skits were performed by Lucy Aranha, Praveen Kodakkal, Lional Rayan, Prashanth Ferrao and Rajesh. The audience thoroughly enjoyed foot tapping dances by Jovas XLNC, choreographed by Jovas XLNC Crew, Heart Beatz choreographed by Lalson and Anoop, KISS Fusion Stars choreographed by Laveena Praphulla, and Krithi K Poojari.

Visiting artistes, local artistes, choreographers and sponsors were honoured with bouquets and mementos. President Harish Bhandary explained the achievements of TKK in his speech. Chandrahasa Shetty gave a presentation on TKK welfare project.

The programme was well compered by Jaison lasrado and announcements were done by Purandara Manchi, Rekha Sachidananda and Preethi Shetty. Music was provided by Deepak Jayasheel (keyboard), Ajimon Melody’s (rhythm programmer), Suman Das (lead guitar), Iqbal (tabla), Jaison Jose Melody’s (percussion) and Soban (Cango, Tumba, Bango). The programme was coordinated by Sathish Acharya, with sound and lights by Waves and the stage was set by Rajeev and souvenir artwork done by Manoj Kumar.

A raffle draw was conducted to raise funds for TKK charity programmes. After the vote of thanks, the programme came to an end with mind-blowing mix fast songs from all the four artistes which was admired and appreciated by the whole crowd. Medley- the fusion remix of old and new songs was the specialty of the event. The programme was managed well and completed by 9:40 pm as scheduled. The credit goes to the president, programme coordinator, MC and the persons involved in arranging the programme. The audience sat glued to their seats expecting more even after the MC announced the end of programme.
