Bengaluru: II PU student impersonates in SSLC exam, held

Bengaluru, Apr 5 (DHNS): Officials from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) on Monday caught a meritorious second-year PU (Science) student impersonating a SSLC student during the mathematics exam at Marathahalli in Bengaluru.

Prakash, a student of class 12 at a reputed private college, who was to take his II PU Chemistry re-exam on April 12, was caught impersonating a class 10 student Gaurav of Vimanapura High School.

Based on a tip off from “someone close to them”, Block Education Officer, Benglauru South-4, S M Ramesh visited the school and caught Prakash impersonating Gaurav.

Later, the HAL police was informed about the incident who arrested Prakash.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board will debar Gaurav from appearing for any further exams.

According to officials, the class 10 student, Gaurav, is a repeater. Prakash is also said to have also written the science paper for him on April 1.

Wooed

Prakash was wooed into writing the paper for Gaurav by Gaurav’s father Krishnamurthy.

The BEO said that Prakash was a former student of Krishnamurthy who works as a Physical Education teacher in HAL High School.

“Prakash was a bright student. He had scored 90% in his class 10 exams. It was after Krishnamurthy asked him to write that exams on behalf of his son that he did so. He might not be able to take up the upcoming Chemistry exam” said an official.

It is not correct to punish Prakash in this case. He could have fined for his misconduct and should be allowed to go ahead with his exam.

It is common to students to listen to teachers. Here the Teacher is culprit and he should be kept behind bars along with his son.

In our place these PET teachers or Drill masters are called as Jill Master... Generally these guys with good Physique and muscles choose to become drill masters and many a time they are dominating other teachers though they won't take any classes.

May be his son is also a Undadi Gunda who can't qualify in the exam.
