Mangaluru: Old-aged pedestrian hit by bike, loses life

Mangaluru, Apr 13: Sundar Moolya (75) from Kottara Chowki in the city, who was walking towards his home from Kottara Daddalkad on the night of Monday April was hit by a motor bike from behind. Moolya, who got pushed into the roadside drain, lost his life.

The man was walking by the left side of the road leading to Kottara Chowki when the two-wheeler hit him from behind. After getting tossed into the storm drain, Moolya suffered serious injuries to his head, neck, and forehead. He was taken to a private hospital, but he had died before reaching the hospital.

The bike rider fled from the spot of the accident, leaving behind his two-wheeler. A case was registered in traffic (west) police station in the city. The policemen have undertaken investigation.
