57-year-old school destroyed by fire in Shillong

Shillong, Apr 13 (PTI): A major fire destroyed a 57-year-old private school in Shillong today, police said.

Fire tenders were at the spot within minutes of the case reported to them, but they failed to save the school, SP (City) Vivek Syiem said.

Ruling out foul play, Mr Syiem said, police were trying to find out the exact cause of the fire.
