Mangaluru, May 8: Police, on Saturday May 7, arrested two persons in connection with attempted murder of Ibrahim Nafsan in front of Urdu School, Chota Mangaluru road, Ullal. It is said that the duo was trying to avenge the killing of Raju Kotian.
The arrested have been identified as Pachu alias Prasad and Sharan, accomplices of Rahul, both residents of Mogaveerapatna. They were taken into custody from Ullal sea shore.
A group of six people had waylaid the bike of Nafsan near Urdu school when he was on his way from his house in Ullal Kodi to Mangaluru dock on April 25 and attacked him with machetes.
However the accused had fled when the police on patrol nearby heard the noise and rushed to the place. It had saved the life of Nafsan. The brothers of Nafsan, Naufal and Muzambil who were on their way to work rushed the seriously injured Nafsan to the hospital. Nafsan is recovering. Police are still in the lookout for other four persons.
