Mangaluru, May 9: Mangalore Meri Jaan & Forum Fiza Mall in association with Vibrant Chevrolet, organized ‘Love You Mom-Selfie’ contest and ‘Mom and I– Best friends contest’ on the occasion of Mothers Day celebration at Forum Fiza Mall on Sunday May 8.
The aim of the event was to create a rapport between a mother and her child.
‘Love You Mom-Selfie contest’ preliminary rounds were held through the Facebook page of Mangalore Meri Jaan fb.com/mangaloremerijaan.The photos were shortlisted with public voting. Sandhya H Bhat emerged as the winner and Preethi Sequeira bagged the runners up title in this contest.
'Best Friends contest-Mom and I' organisers and jury shortlisted 22 best contestants from the photographs. The Mom & Child had a chance of walking the ramp and unleashing their talents. Suma R Nayak emerged as the winner and Deepthi bagged the runners up title.
The judges of the event were Mangalore’s prominent Disha Dinakar, Miss Mangalore in 2012, debuted in Malayalam movie ‘One Day’; Corrine Antoinette Rasquinha - founder president, NGO White Doves and Delma Lobo, vice principal, St Aloysius Institute of Education, Mangalore.
Main sponsors were Vibrant Chevrolet–Kuloor, Mangalore and Forum Fiza mall. Gift partners were Mangalore Central and Barbeque Nation. Media partners were Daijiworld and Namma TV. NGO partner was Giving Tree Trust.
Rizwan of Vibrant Chevrolet, Sunil from Forum Fiza Mall, Waseem, founder of MMJ, Bhaskar, Corrine Rasquinha, Delma Lobo and Disha Dinakar were present on the dais.
