Sheikh has been accused of supplying explosives used for 2011 Mumbai and 2013 Hyderabad serial blasts. He was arrested from Mumbai on April 26 this year. He was brought here to further investigate his role in the blasts. He was made to sit in the police station here, while the officials of ATS visited his home, and gathered information from his foster mother, Bibi Zahida. As the lady expressed her wish to talk to her son, the officials facilitated their meeting at a secret spot for ten minutes. Later, they got signature of family members in a letter, before taking the accused back to Mumbai.
Mother of the arrested accused, speaking to media persons later, said that her son told her that he did not face any problems during the period of his confinement. She claimed that he also told her that he is not being harassed and that he is leading a comfortable life.
