Kundapur, May 11: The younger brother together with his two grown-up sons, brutally assaulted his elder brother due to old land dispute. The injury was so severe that the elder brother succumbed to his injuries at his residence on Wednesday, May 11.
Narayana Naik (60) was the victim of deadly assault by his younger brother and his two sons.

Accused Nagaraja Naik and his sons Laxmikantha and Chandrakanatha said to be responsible for the murder of Narayana Naik have been arrested.
There was a dispute regarding way between Narayana Naik and Nagaraja Naik brothers staying in the neighbourhood.
On May 5, when Narayana was watering his plantations, Nagaraja Naik and his sons started quarrelling with him for trivial reason. In a fit of rage, Nagaraja Naik assaulted his elder brother and his sons Laxmikanth and Chandrakanth, encouraged the father in the fight.
Narayana was assaulted with the hard portion of coconut blade. Narayana Naik then had gone to the local private hospital for treatment and returned.
He also filed a complaint regarding the assault. As the pain did not decrease, he got himself admitted in the Kundapur government hospital for two days.
As he required additional treatment, he was asked to go to Mangaluru Wenlock hospital. Narayan did not go for further treatment and returned home on May 9. However his leg pain became severe and he died at his residence on Wednesday morning, May 11.
Narayana Naik is survived by wife and two daughters.
Kundapur DySP P Manjunatha Shetty, Circle Inspector Diwaker, Shankernarayana SI Sunil Kumar and others visited the place.
A police case has been registered at Shankernarayana police station.
