Ballari, May 13: Chief executive officer (CEO) of the zilla panchayat (ZP) here, S S Nakul, has ensured that his wife goes through childbirth procedures at the government hospital.

At a time the people prefer to go to private hospital even at considerable expense rather than reposing faith on government-run hospitals, Nakul took up this initiative to make people regain their faith in government hospitals.

Poojitha, wife of ZP CEO, Nakul, an IAS officer, gave birth to male baby at the district hospital here on Thursday May 12. Both the mother and child are doing fine, it is learnt.

Nakul hails from Kushalnagar and is the son of S K Satish and Shobha. He had secured the 31st rank in the 2010 UPSC examination and was the topper from the state.

    I hope more of our Babus and VIPs learn the art of "Simple Living and High Thinking", rather than The Art of Faking, Scheming, Looting, Cheating and Fault-finding.

    I like to hear who was there when she was admitted? How many staff were visiting and how many time per day/shift? How many times they changed the bed sheets and who supplied all the materials including pampers, medication? Did they get the same quality of care, medications, and other facilities as an ordinary/poor person? Now it is my last question do we difference between Indian Citizenship like he is CEO, Doctor, Minister etc. or as per constituency we are all equal? This all makes everyone fool and the same practice still there. Minister go to road side Tea stall and have some Tea but before he goes he will make sure his PA will give all necessary things to the Tea stall person.
    If Mr. & Mrs. Nakul want to be good model let them visit and see exactly what is happening every day and report/correct the individual.

    What is so great about these well heeled couple opting for GHospital for delivery of their child?
    Being ZP CEO he will ensure all comforts to his wife until discharge. Did the Govt. ambulance them home too?
    If similar service is extended to all (poor too) then I praise the GHospital for their unbiased service. I do not think I'll get a chance for that.
    Here I do not know how I can extend my praise to this particular couple for opting services from Govt. hospital....!!!

    I will congratulate them though on the birth of their Baby and wish the family well.

    As a matter of fact, the Government hospitals are the safest for deliveries.. The private hospitals for sake of higher profit will create panic in patients, by saying a caesarean section is needed even when the mother can go through a safe delivery. ...then you have to pay, doctor's charges, nurses charges, OT, anesthetist ...blah blah blah.. Some private hospitals have a record 80-90% caesarean sections!!

    You have a really serious observation there.

    on 12th May, DW reported : "Post-delivery deaths - DC wants suspension of licences of doctors, hospitals".

    I would appreciate if you could bring your concern to the attention of DC Ibrahim, so that this illegal money making racket will be exposed too.

    By the way, I just remember someone saying : " Even if a heart patient requires only one stent for Angioplasty, pvt . hospitals will demand for 2 or 3 instead of just one!"

    For showing how to lead by example , What else we want??. Commendable job. There are some govt officials, like peon, clerk and all. To speak to them we need to take appointment, they act as if the office belongs to them. Those people should make a note of this. Well done, Sir. Congratulations. Thank You.

    I appreciate Mr.Nakul's initiative and also sure that he might have received best attention by the concerned during delivery of his wife.Whether a common people can expect the same type of service in the said hospital during ordinary course ?
    If yes,it is superb......but I am apprehensive sir....!
    Normal delivery is not dicese but a natural process in ordinary life of woman but being made complex by learned doctors and nurses/attendants.Even 30-50 years back delivery is carried out even in remote villages very safely by experienced woman who were very much reliable.

    Article is more of advertising their back ground rather than promoting government hospital facilities and benefits.

    Also, although, they have made a choice of Government hospital, it may be a different treatment considering their positions

    When big people make a micro move also becomes a great news and on the contrary a poor does a great hero work but sadly does not count
