SSLC, PU question papers to be printed in exam hall only: Minister

Daijiworld Media Network-Tumakuru (RJP)

Tumakuru, Jun 7: Going by the experience of embarrassment faced during the paper leak scam, the state government has taken the first step to stop exam related frauds in the state. State higher education minister T B Jayachandra has said that the question papers for SSLC and II PU examinations will be printed in the examination hall itself from this academic year.

Jayachandra was speaking to reporters in Tumakuru on Monday, June 6.

The question papers will be mailed simultaneously to all the examination centres from the central control room of the department. And then the question papers will be printed just 10 minutes before the commencement of the exams. Proper and necessary arrangements will be made at the examination centres to take print out of the question papers, Jayachandra explained.

The state government had to conduct re-examination for the second PU chemistry paper twice in the last academic year following leak of question papers.

Jayachandra also revealed that the government will not grant permission for starting new colleges this year and urged the existing colleges to improve their condition with more facilities.

New education policy to make students employable

Speaking about other plans in education sector, Jayachandra said,“The state government has been formulating a anew education policy to ensure that students are employable. A meeting in this regard will be held with the vice-chancellors of universities on June 15. Opinion of experts like Dr C N R Rao, former chairman of the Prime Minister’s Scientific Advisory Council, and Wipro chairman Azim Premji will also be obtained. Appointment orders will be issued to 2,160 candidates recruited for the posts of assistant professors at government colleges."

This can become a great move if they use secure print technology to print the question paper instead of using email. Emails can always be hacked and no one will know if someone sends a copy to his personal e-mail.

So its better to send a secure print to the printer directly instead of circulating it to a persons email ID.

But this will surely reduce the cost of transporting question papers and security.

Im not a big fan of politics but surely this will be a nice plan if executed in a secured manner.

Dear Elected Minister T B Jayachandra, will you please light on the question paper leakage episode of 2016 where we are and what sort of action is taken against the so far arrested, who all are involved? The episode erupted in the media for few days now no any news at all. That means wait for cool down and next year again the same (Square back to one). Now your super facial idea of printing question paper on the day of exam, due you know the de merits? 1) Do you have hacker free internet facility? 2) Do you have internet facility at all exam center and master server capacity to cater all users at a time? 3) Worst case scenario, if local communication exchange is down for whatever reason, how to proceed?
Dear Minister, first of all please go through the answer script of the students and check how the evaluation is being done. A PU student and his/her parents prepare for this from 8th grade on wards and he/she has show his/her talent within three hours and the evaluation may be done within five minutes. If evaluator’s mood is good, the student will get good percentage or else, whatever sacrifice he/she had done is in vain. Please correct this first.

    Dear Arun, Abudhabi,

This is congress rule to print question papers in the exam hall itself.

And it is not a minister's house.

Haam suppose it was bjp's rule then the question papers might have been printed in Nagpur because yale university is unqualified and the communal's are qualified in history changed printing of question papers.

all the dubasses, thinking this is first time, for your info, VTU, RGUHS etc are already using this method. but they have better infra being higher education!... when Chief minister present budget, there is power cut, you think email will work 10 mins before the exam in the month of April/may?! :D also, this will only lead to new scam of "printing machines, xerox machine, rural electrification, college computers, internet etc"..

and the studnet can come as late as 30 mins, after starting exam. so, in one hour, one guy can take snap of question paper and whatsapp it to entire karnataka, and all studnents can go through the answers before and attend! These congi corrupts have no brains of their own and make a worst copy, cheap remakes of others! great plan - eution fail - bonus, corruption!

As per newly proposed system, nobody who entered the exam hall will be allowed to go to toilet/wash room at any circumstances.
If anybody needs toilet/wash room facility, should collect the plastic bag from the Examiner provided for emergency cases....
However this facility is available on a condition that used bags will be kept along with him till he completes writting the eaxam paper...!!!
