What are we going to do about this? ( speaking on the phone while driving)

    1. Demand a law to ban phone use while driving.

    2. Stop using the phone while driving ( irrespective of the rules, as our own safety measure).

    3. Report the vehicle number who is violating the rule. This act of us may save lives( just like Every counts in rain water harvesting).

These are easily solvable issues. Just see now almost every one is wearing helmet these days while on a 2 wheeler.

This is the comment to the hypocrites who demand the driver to be jailed/fined/hanged. If such incidents caused by them or their loved once, they will gladly do every possible thing to avoid such punishments.

    SK,

What i meant to say is that i am not against jailing or fining the person who caused the accident... but our system works differently. Mostly it benefits us if ever cause the accident.

Now one more thing they were travelling in a maruti 800 which is nothing but a coffin box on wheels powered by 800cc engine. Its basically the most unsafe vehicle you could buy. Our roads are also unsafe. there are no barriers in the middle to prevent the vehicle from one side accidentally crossing onto the other side. And the last one is why are three wheelers allowed on highways? they are nothing but nuisance to other road users and a safety hazard at speeds above 40kmph.

In India accidentally you can murder anyone, because punishment is minimal.

    arm,

Its not that the punishment is minimal. The problem is the implementation of the laws.

RIP to the young lives, who did'nt deserve such a tragic death.

And to make it worse it might come to light that the dog of the driver might have been flirting with a worthless slut.

My condolences to the bereaved family. Alas! Lives of these young boys have been curtailed due to no fault of theirs. May their soul rest in peace. People are not at all serious while driving in India. Luckily Indian roads are not in good condition, hence they drive at a low speed. That is indeed a blessing in disguise, otherwise the No. of accidents would be manifold.
Incidentally, many thanks to the Daijiworld reporter who painstakingly collected the full details of all the diseased.

Not only this driver even the city bus driver's and even car drivers are seen in the city using their mobiles while driving. The punishment should be severe so that no one will dare to use a mobile while driving.
