Bengaluru, Jun 22: While most of the MLAs who lost their cabinet berths during the recent reshuffle are angry, former primary and secondary education Kimmane Ratnakar has shown his concern towards others with his patience and broad minded approach.
In his Facebook post, he has posted that in the changing political scenario in 2008 elections, he was the only one to have been elected in the Shivamogga district as an MLA. “It was shocking that Kagodu Thimmappa from the block had lost. I had told him that I was willing to leave my position so that he could stand for elections from Theerthahalli and win. He had lovingly refused the offer. He had won the elections last time with a huge margin. He had provided suitable guidance by being the speaker in the Assembly,” says the Kimmane in his Facebook post.
“He has now got an opportunity to be the minister. He has wide experience by being five time MLA, once Vidhana Parishat member and by being minister. I congratulate the chief minister and senior congress leaders for keeping the socialist principles intact. I am fortunate to work under such seniors. I was feeling bad that I have snatched an opportunity that was due to seniors in the party. That has been set right now. It will be idiotic to imagine myself in his place. Desiring power in his place will be opportunistic and high handed. His mental stability and functionality even during his old age is unique. Let there be no doubt about Kagodu Thimmappa’s work abilities. My best wishes to you Kagoduji.” The Facebook post from Kimmane says.
