Ankola: Team Daijiworld Rescues Injured Cops In No Man’s Land

Ankola, Nov 10: It was the wee hours of the Saturday misty morning of November 10, as a section of the Daijiworld team was returning to home base in Mangalore from Mumbai, after three continous days of grueling work schedule, an incident took place which shook all.

On their way back just as they touched Ankola, they happen to see a ghastly sight of police jeep belonging to the Highway Patrol Police, involved in an accident. The accident seems to have occurred in a span of few minutes due to a mines truck hitting against the jeep head-on. According to eye-witness account given by daijiworld team, the lorry was traversing on the wrong side and had apparently hit the police jeep which was approaching from the opposite direction.

Moreover one crucial fact was that the site of the accident is so located that it is totally cut-off from civilization and hence no network is available either by cell phone or via any other mode of communication, with not even a single telephone booth available in the nearby vicinity.

In such a worst case scenario it was impossible to contact anyone. Moreover, the road leading to the accident site was blocked for nearly half an hour. The ambulance too was not reachable, to come and rescue the injured policemen. The locals too were mere by-standers not offering a helping hand to the hapless and severely injured police personnel.

However at this point in time team Daijiworld rose to the occasion and took the initiative. They first maneuvered their way in between the various vehicles blocking the road and somehow managed to reach closer to the damaged police jeep. Then immediately taking stock of the situation, they helped to ease out the injured policeman Sukkor and his colleague from inside the mangled jeep. Sukkor along with police constable Prakash Gatti were both grievously injured losing precious blood and in the twilight zone between life and death barely able to retain conciousness and in severe pain. However, the third policeman Sub-Inspector Mahabaleshwar was lucky enough to escape with minor bruises and cuts.

Immediately the Daijiworld team dashed off the injured policemen to one of the nearest hospital available in Ankola. On reaching there they even helped out in completing some of the medical formalities, they left the place hoping for a speedy recovery for the men in uniform. For once the situation has changed with the protector and savior of citizens being saved by ordinary citizens like team Daijiworld.

Well done, keep it up, & inform the Police that there are also human beings to help the Police Force when they are in trouble. When the common man approaches the police, his problems are not properly heard. Inform the Police Force that all are Human Beings & punish them as per their crimes/good works.

Sir, I was greatly touched to read the unselfish zeal with which Daijiworld team came forward to help the injured cops in a forlorn strip of highway. I do have at the back of my mind the way Daijiworld has been either highlighting the plight of the downtrodden and the needy and also bringing succor to the sick and helpless by bringing their cause to the concern of the readers, and thereby getting them a helping hand! The team in question in the present story is bound to highly benefit for God loves those best who love their neighbour.

In a society where people turn their back on an injured road accident victim due to legal complexity, your team has really done a great work!! People like you still give us hopes!!
