Kundapur: MIT holds orientation programme

Kundapur, Aug 2: The orientation programme for students of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology who have enrolled for first year engineering courses for the year 2016-17 was held on August 1. Navunda Richard
Memorial College principal, professor S Narayana Rao who was the chief guest of the occasion, spoke of the importance of education to students and encouraged them.


Well known businessman Dr G P Shetty, another guest of the occasion, addressed the students. College principal Dr Mohandas Bhat S, explained the importance of education to the audience through stories
and examples.

President of the institute, Siddarth J Shetty presided over the programme. Head of the electrical and electronics department, professor Sathish S Amsadi gave a glance of the achievements of the college and the facilities available in the college.

Head of the department of BSH, professor Deepak Shetty, physics lecturer Dr Arun Kashi H K, chemistry lecturer Dr R N Hegde were present. In the programme held in the afternoon, A V Baliga Hospital
Udupi psychiatrist Dr Viruoopaksha Devarumane gave suggestions and guidance to students to maintain mental equilibrium.

Head of the civil department, professor Shashikala compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
