Akshay Kumar Scales New Heights on Foot

Mumbai, Dec 13: Climbing the stairs of world’s tallest residential tower is no easy task. But then, Akshay Kumar is no ordinary guy either.

The actor, one of the fittest in Bollywood, is a staunch believer that health has more to do with one’s lifestyle than sweating out in gymnasiums. Often, he has been known for putting his body through physical rigours in his day-to-day routine.

That is exactly what he did while shooting for Vipul Shah’s film Singh Is King in Australia.

Having been put up in the tallest residential building, Q-1, at Gold Coast, Akshay would refrain from using the elevators while returning to his room at the end of the day’s shooting. He would rather take the stairs of the 80-storey building and would get his daily dose of workout before hitting the shower in his apartment.

This daily ritual of the actor inspired co-star Sonu Sood , who began giving company to Akshay during his arduous climbs for as long as a week before giving up and returning to the elevators again.

Akshay, however, stuck to the stairs during the entire one-month long schedule in Gold Coast.

Well, the actor is surely scaling new heights not just in his career.
