Kasargod, Sep 14: The decomposed body of Rajish (34), resident of Kuthikol Pudiaparamba who was reportedly missing mysteriously for the last seven days was found in a deserted well on Wednesday afternoon, September 14.
Locals after getting foul smell from the well near Nelliat temple on national highway peeped in and saw the dead body.
After lodging a missing complaint, a police team, along with family members had conducted a search operation.
Earlier, Rajish had gone to work to Parasshinakadavu School on September 5 at 8.30 am. He returned after signing the attendance register in school. He had gone out in the evening saying that he would be participating in the birthday celebrations of his friend but did not return.
The investigating team traced his mobile location which indicated that he was present in Karimba tower limits. However his mobile was switched off the next day.
Police even collected CCTV footage of a company at Balkulla Kadamberi with regard to the incident. The CCTV footage revealed that Rajish had gone there.
Investigations have also centred on a friend who went to a gulf country a few days ago and had phoned him. There are suspicions that Rajish was murdered and his body was thrown in the well.
