M’lore: New flight between M’lore and B’lore from Jan 3

Mangalore, Dec 20: Jet Airways will introduce a new flight between Bangalore and Mangalore from January 3. The flight will leave Bangalore at 5.45 pm and arrive in Mangalore at 6.30 pm on all days of the week except Sunday. In the return direction, it will leave Mangalore at 7.05 pm and reach Bangalore at 7.45 pm.

On Sunday, the service will leave Bangalore at 6.05 pm and arrive in Mangalore at 6.45 pm it will leave Mangalore at 7.20 p.m. and reach Bangalore at 8.05 pm.

Hitherto, there were no late evening services between the two cities.

The last flight to Mangalore from Bangalore was at 4.15 pm and in the return direction at 5.30 pm.

Formalities completed

Airport Director MR Vaudeva said that all the formalities had been completed for the introduction of the service. People attending office or court work in the State capital were being forced to take a bus to return or wait till the next day morning to board a flight back home. They are expected to find the new service useful.

The airliner operates a morning service between the two cities.

With the introduction of the new service, the number of flights between the two cities will go up to five.
