Bagalkot, Dec 19: Meti sex CD scandal has taken a new twist now. The victim in the sex scandal has filed cases against four people on the night of Saturday December 17 at the Navanagar police station here saying that they tried to strangle her when she tried to escape from an oil mill where they had locked her up.
The woman has named constable Mugalakhod, Ashok Lagaloti, president of the Jyothi Bank, contractor Siddalinga Abalakatti and Maruti Mirajkar, who has a travel and courier business, in the complaint. Siddalinga Abalakatti and Ashok Lagaloti are both BJP leaders. Previously they were in Congress and were close to H Y Meti, but recently they parted ways to join BJP.
The complaint says that since the minister did not agree to appoint Mugalakhod as his gunman, the four of them locked her up at a place in an industrial area and forced her to give a statement against Meti. She said the statement taken from her was later telecast in television channels. She has demanded action against the four for the alleged crime.
Cases of attempt to murder and outraging the modesty of a woman have been registered against the four.
Mugalakhod has been absconding since December 12. Other three are also untraceable as their mobile phones are switched off.
