Mangalore, Jan 28: Islam cleary states that killing innocent persons is like killing everybody whereas he who saves one person saves everybody. Hence, there is no terrorism in Quran, said Yusuf Estes, orator of Islam from the USA.

Speaking on ‘Terrorism, Islam and the West,’ organized by South Karnataka Salafi Movement at a programme at Nehru Maidan here on Monday, January 28 evening, he stressed that there is no such thing as terrorism in Islam. It is the responsibility of the Muslims to bring back the perverted people to the right path, he called for.

“Islam doesn’t mean religion. It is a way of life. A Muslim is bound to surrender, submit, obey God and maintain sincerity and peace in the world. Whoever submits sincerely and observes peace is a real Muslim,” he opined.

God called everyone to love each other. But He doesn’t love oppression and aggression. Muslims should overcome lethargy and change themselves for peace. Propagation of Islam can never be achieved through sword and gun, he cleared.

Dr Habib-ur-Rahman welcomed the gathering. Mohammad recited Qirat.

Some one rightly said, there is no smoke without fire. To be more specific Terrorism in India began only after the barbaric incident of demolishing Babri Masjid. A group of fundamentalist lead by now so called good samarithans are responsible for such dastardly act. In a democratic countrly like India which protects the rights of all relegions and their palaces of worship, has no room for such fanatic ideologies. Let the majority practice the religion of 'Peace, love, forgiveness.

I admire Mr. Yusuf Estes for his good talk. It is equally true that all religions are teaching peace and tolerance. But many of the followers are not sincere in practicing their respective religions. Just think of the minorities in many countries in the world, who are suffering because of their faith. God is for everyone.

Every human being is created by God but we made the differences. Everyone should be treated like human beings. In some of he countries, there are no places of worship for non-muslims. Mr. Yusuf should visit all these countries where there is no religious freedom and preach peace, tolerance and religious freedom.

Everyone should get proper knowledge of the teachings of all religions in the world. Peace will come only when all of us consider all human beings as equal, irrespective of their caste, creed, tribe, race, religion etc. Lord God, bless every one and grant us PEACE.

Islam is peace and religion of peace. I am very proud to be a muslim. As muslims, we should love our neighbours. A muslim should wish others what he wishes for himself. A muslim cant be a Muslim, if he eats full stomach and his neighbour is hungry. We should share what we have and spread the word of God. Again Islam means peace. It is the jewish lobby that is behind labelling Islam as terrorist religion. 9/11 is the handywork of insiders and Muslims.Iraq, Afghanistan etc etc are created by non peace loving west.

I have listened to quite a few of Yusuf Estes talks here in North Carolina. He is a real inspiration to all Muslims. He is very knowledgeable and articulate, since he adds a touch of humor in his message he is very much liked by the younger audience as well.

I was happy to hear that he visited Mangalore, especially with all the communal tension going on lately. The timing was just perfect. Some of Yusuf Estes's web sites shareislam.com, youtubeislam.com, watchislam.com, hearislam.com, islamtomorrow.com.

Whatever said and done, I believe there is no smoke without fire. How far we are justified in targeting Muslims as terrorists? Look at the plight of Mangalore, how it has emerged into communal-sensitive zone. So its better we look at the cause for this smoke than blaming a community. Be humane thats what every religion says. It implies to all the religions on this earth.

Brother Alfred rightly said that the religious scholars must teach the actual words of God. The basic mistake people make is they don't follow what God has said. For instance, God has said Don't make partners with Me and yet people don't listen. So, before following any faith or religion, the basic mistake need to be corrected.

Civilised behaviour is defined by how citizens take care of others and thier civic duties. Both the indian govt and its people should stop the blame game by playing with minorities in the name of terrorism and should prevent the rising fundamentalism amongst the majority as well.

Masha Allaah, what an event!. Really I missed the opportunity to be a part of this event. Yousuf Estes is a great scholar who reverted to Islam only in 1991 and the knowledge he aquired is unbelieveable. It is true that the word ‘terrorist’ is generally used for a person who causes terror among the common people.

But a true Muslim should only be a terrorist to negative people i.e. anti-social elements, and not to the common innocent people. In fact a Muslim should be a source of peace for innocent people.

Nice to see Mr.Yusuf Estes in Mangalore. I just thought of pondering on one more verse from Holy Quran that applies to everyone. "Mankind! We created you from a male and female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you might come to know each other. The noblest among you in God's sight is that one of you who best performs his duty. God is All-Knowing, All-Aware." (Quran, 49:13)

I am an admirer of Yusuf Estes and glad that he has visited Mangalore. No peace can be acheived as long as the opressors are strong and they take law in to their own hands. When justice prevails peace will emerge.Only the right punishment by the rulers or the Govt can controll the mischief makers and it should not be discriminatory. Nice to see the photos of Dr Muneer and Kabeeraka. Thanks to Daiji.

There is no doubt that Mr.Yusuf Estes is a true muslim, But there is many so called muslims who did not follow Islam as Mr. Yusuf Estes beleived. As per my veiw difference between Islam and other religion, All in one and one in all(beleive & worship).

Accept this, what we feel good they also feel good, what we feel bad they also feel bad.I request those muslim brothers to keep on their effort to spread Peace message, which is very important in Mangalore.

How nice to read the reader's reactions!,How we feel glad still there is universal brotherhood exists!.No religion, encourages anything against humanity. It is our corrupt political system for power by all means creates this. Plus, I woould say the media should also play big role instead of branding certain religion as terrorist based on certain black sheep in that society.

Dear Mr. Alfred J. Rebello, I agree with you that all holy book doesn't teach terrorism. But these days, media has given a new name for terrorism."ISLAM". Wherever any inhuman incedent takes place, the suspects are muslims. Even if they know that muslims have not done it, they start interrogating all suspected muslims.

This is what Mr. Yusuf Ested want to make clear that Islam doesn't teach terrorism. Terrorism have no religion. Its a disease which has to be eradicated by root. Mr. Alfred I am just trying to make it clear. Please dont mind.

Yousuf estes is right when he said Quran does not teach terrorism. But it is not only the Quran but all the holy books states the same. It is we who do not follow it properly perhaps because of wrong teachings by some religious people.

Therefore, it is the responsibilty of all the religious people to teach actual words of God, which is love, affection, peace, forgiveness, understanding each other and their religion because God made only human beings be them follow any faith. For me, religion is only a path to God provided we follow what is said.

These kind of programmes must be organised now and then to create awareness among the common man. All should take proper advantage of such platform. Thanks to South Karnataka Salafi Movement.

The words spoken by Yusuf Estes were very precious ,it should be kept in every heart.  We are all children of Gods. Lack of understanding of this Truth is the cause of all suffering. I read Kuran and find the same in Geeta too . What a wonder that both of them are from the same source . I humbly request Yusuf Estes to keep on spreading their Peace message.
