Bengal BJP vice president arrested for taking money


Kolkata, Jan 14 (IANS): West Bengal BJP vice president Jayprakash Majumdar was on Saturday arrested for allegedly taking money from School Service Commission candidates with the promise of providing jobs.

A senior officer of the Bidhannagar Commissionerate of state police said the arrest came after Majumdar was grilled for about seven hours following a complaint by a candidate, Arup Ratan Roy.
