Mangalore, Feb 18: Sri Mata Amrutanandamayi, better known as ‘Amma,’ officiated the installation of Kalasha and statues in the newly-constructed Brahmasthana at Boloor on Monday, February 18.

Earlier, Kalasha Abisheka was performed wherein the statues were bathed with flower and holy water by Amma. The occasion was celebrated with bursting of a series of firecrackers.

Later Amma delivered a religious sermon addressing the devotees. Thousands of devotees from various parts of the world who have arrived in the city were present at the programme and listened attentively to Amma’s sermon.

Sources informed that this is the 9th Brahmasthapana taking place in India. The programme also witnessed the domination of western journalists instead of locals.
