Dubai: Mangalore Konkans, Shipi Dubai & Ace Spikers Shine at KS Sports Day

Dubai, Feb 22: Karnataka  Sangha Dubai held their Annual Sports Event at Emirates English Speaking School Grounds on the 22nd of February 2008.
 
The event attracted 21 teams from all over UAE - 5 Teams for Throw Ball, 5 Teams for Kabbadi and 11 Teams for Volley Ball Tournament.

The Tournament commenced with C. R Shetty President of Karnataka Sangha Dubai, Welcoming the  Participants and the Spectators.

Mangalore Konkans emerged as winners in Throw ball Tournament whereas Jashan Dubai won the Runners up Trophy. In Kabaddi Shilpi Mangalore Team bagged the Winners Trophy and Karnataka Sangha Sharjah won runners up trophy. Ace Spikers Won Volley Ball Trophy and Nakre Youngsters emerged as runners up.

The Sports Event was organised by under leadership of Daya Kirodian, Sports Secretary of Karnataka Sangha Dubai who was supported bythe Executive Committee Members and Sub Committee Members to make it a success

The event was  sponsored by Arab Udupi Restaurant, Millennium Metal works, Dr. Yusuf, Sadiq Hussein, C R Shetty, Chilly Willy Trading, A. R Tanthri, Manohar Hegde, and L K Putran.
 
The whole event was compered by Tanthri, Secretary of Karnataka Sangha Dubai who also thanked Sponsors, Well wishers and the participants and the Spectators who had attended in large numbers to support and witness the event.
