Mangaluru: Torching of CPI(M) office at Thokkottu - three held

Mangaluru, Feb 28: Ullal police have made three arrests in connection with the torching of CPI(M) Ullal zonal office at Thokkottu Valapete recently. They are continuing with the search for the remaining culprits.

The arrested persons have been identified as Deekshit (28) f rom Vasukinagara Thokkottu, D K Rakshit (23), resident of Bhatnagar, and Benny R (22), staying near Shivaji Club at Thokkottu. Ullal police made thee arrests based on reliable information.

Both Deekshit and Rakshit face several past cases registered in Ullal police station in the past. They were also named as accused in a case pertaining to murder attempt that had happened near Chembugudde sometime back.

On the eve of Kerala chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayam's visit to the city, banners and buntings for undertaking campaign relating to Sauharda Rally organized in the city had been stored in the CPI(M) office. The team torched the CPM office with the specific purpose of burning down these materials, police personnel say.

The police are now hunting for the other accused in this case.

    We have been going through very bad "Bail" system helps to come out from any crime ... person involving in several crimes still he can roam around freely with "Bail" until when ???
