Udupi: 38-year-old man murdered at Cherkadi, accused absconding

Udupi, Mar 1: A man was murdered in broad daylight at Cherkadi here on Wednesday March 1.

Prakash (38) was stabbed to death allegedly by Prashant Kulal (28).

It is said that there was an argument between Prakash and Prashant over some money matter, which snowballed into a full-fleged fight, ending in murder.

It is alleged that Prashant stabbed Prakash to death with a knife. There were two stab marks on the body.

Prakash was working in a shop in Shivamogga while Prashant does coolie work in Cherkadi and other surrounding places.

Prashant has gone absconding and search is on to trace him, sources said.

Brahmavar police arrived at the spot and a case has been registered.

    Our local media is publishing news related to our surrounding. So, it looks lot of crimes happening in our state. Just read news of Rajastan, Haryana, MP, Maharastra and Gujarat as well some times, you will get to know the exact statistics. Our state is much better compared to above states.

    As the resident of Karnataka we should worried about what is happening in our own yard instead of pointing towards some other states and claiming less crimes are happening in my state just because of that state is ruled by the party which I support. .
