Udupi: Silas International School holds Montessori Convocation Day

Udupi, Mar 21: The tiny tots of Montessori III dressed in graduation robes and caps marched in a row, along with the chief guest Dr H J Gowri, paediatrician, Sonia Clinic, accompanied by the principal Deirdra Maben and vice principal Elizabeth Joseph, during the Montessori Convocation Day on Saturday, March 18.

The programme began with an invocation by the teachers and students of the Montessori. Elvera took over the charge of presenting the little graduates. Principal Deirdra conferred the graduation title on students.









Dr H J Gowri, in her convocation address, complimented the graduates on their achievements and congratulated the teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping the students through education and other co-curricular activities. She also gave a few tips to the parents and teachers on training and bringing up the children.

She stressed on the instil basic manners and respect for elders, teachers and parents, in students. She also emphasised the need to train and bring up the children in all aspects – social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual.

Parents of the outgoing batch expressed their views about the school. Commending the school management and principal for the utmost care taken to groom the students, a parent said “From the helpers to the security guard to the teachers everyone is so focussed on the child’s safety and development. As a parent, I am assured that my child is in a happy and safe environment.”

This was followed by the distribution of 'graduate diplomas' to the students. The formal programme concluded with a special song by the outgoing batch.

It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for the little ones who received their Montessori Diploma from the guests and continue their education in the mainstream of the school.
