Mangaluru: Rahim Uchil confident of getting BJP ticket to take on U T Khader in state polls

Mangaluru, Jun 19 : State BJP minority cell vice-president Rahim Uchil, who also ran the Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy as its president during BJP's tenure in Karnataka, has claimed his candidature in Mangaluru (former Ullal constituency) where Congress has had the upper hand over the past several decades. The state food minister U T Khader is MLA from the same constituency.

In an exclusive interiew to Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld on Daijiworld TV's popular programme 'Public Challenge', Rahim Uchil disclosed that he is a front-runner for the BJP ticket from Mangaluru constituency. He is confident that he has good chances to win against UT Khader, and feels that his community will stand behind him after Khader's 'failure' in his constituency despite being a minister.

Rahim Uchil also spoke about the central government's plans on beef ban, triple Talaq issue, publicising of Tipu Jayanti by the current Congress government in Karnataka and more.

In a controversial remark, he said that Dakshina Kannada district was communally more peaceful during BJP regime between 2008-'13 than during the current government's regime. But when questioned about moral policing incidents that took place during the BJP government, he fumbled for an answer.

    In 2013 around 7 BJP's proxy muslim candidates tried to defeat Mr. Khader. If this time BJP's official candidate also a muslim, is not going to affect UT Khader. People from all the communities and clerics will support him and will work for his victory.

However, he has done it 50 percent and let him complete the remaining 50 percent and change his name to rama uchil. He is a nice guy and hard working for bjp. bjp needs sincere guys like him.     It's your wrong conceptual thinking that, ullal muslims are fools to vote you to Assembly!! Who can assure here, that Rahim is a true muslim? Has anyone seen him Masjid for Prayers? Look at the way he named Prophet (S.A) & Khalifa's of Islam (R.A) in this interview.. Is that a way of taking their name!! Come on Rahim, show some respect... try to learn something about Islam.     Nice joke to read early morning on a Monday. Mangalore was the worst affected during the BJP rule. So many communal clashes, immoral goondaidm, goondas roaming around with pride making life a mess. And who really is Mr.Uchil? No achievements till date no background of doing anything big and he talks of taking on Khader. Khader is stilll better anyday compared to jokers like these who will be just puppets in the hands of communal organizations and keep talking of Modi everywhere. No achievements no nothing, just talks.

    First of all its Rahim Uchil's day dream. Mr.Rahim Uchil cannot win a Grama Panchyath election anywhere in this district. He is a paper tiger, requesting all media guys to create a news and to become famous. also he create controversy to please sangh parivar to get the ticket.
    I challenge in whole karnataka BJP will not give even a single MLA ticket for any muslims / christian candidates.
