Belagavi: Police yet to find Pramod Muthalik who made provocative speech

Belagavi, Jul 6: Police personnel from High Grounds police station in Bengaluru visited the city on Wednesday, July 5 in search of Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik.

A case stands registered against Muthalik for a provocative speech he made on Sunday in Bengaluru during a protest. He had warned in that speech that there would be bloodshed in the state if Iftar parties are allowed in temples. The protest was held against the initiative of Pejawar Swamiji of holding an Iftar party for Muslims at Udupi Sri Krishna Math recently.

The police had registered a suo moto case against Muthalik after a day of the speech.

The police team headed by High Ground police station ACP visited the house of Muthalik in Belagavi on Wednesday morning, but he was not found there. After that the team proceeded to Hukkeri where Muthalik was believed to have gone. But there too Muthalik was not spotted anywhere by the police team. Search continues, said police sources.

When Muthalik`s goon beat up women in pub... they go unpunished. Then and there it shows the problem with our law enforcement authorities. When couples are threatened/ beaten up police do nothing to the goons.

We do hear sometimes a high ranking police saying something like the police are going to do this police are going to do that. thats all. Its only words and no action. Our police are incapable of protecting the rights of the individuals. Many a times police give into the demands for goons due to some pressure of some politicians or supporters of goons.

No use of arresting him. In couple of years time he will become chief Minister of Karnataka according to the trend. One overlooks killing of certain community and gives three days time to kill, and people elevate him to big chair. One spews venom on certain community continuously, police register couple of cases against him but in spite of bunch of FIRs and cases he manage to grab the Chief Minister's chair. Hence all these goons know, the easiest way to become law makers. If Mutalik also following the same path, what is his fault.
