Udupi: Locals Panic as Missile Model Found at Mattu Sea Shore

Udupi, Apr 29: Locals residing in the neighbourhood of Mattu Sandipani School, Katpady were in for an early morning shock after an equipment resembling missile was found on the sea shore, near here on Tuesday, April 29.
So far, the locals have not been able to get any information on this unknown material. However, it was found that the portion of the material was embossed with manufactured in USA in addition to F9. Some sources informed that this equipment was believed to be used in the missile launch which can blast at 54 degree Celsius.
The locals found this equipment in the early morning which drew large number of crowd as the news spread in the entire Kaup area without much delay. The locals recalled that similar kind of equipment was found in the same place about 14 years ago which blasted automatically after few hours.
Kaup circle inspector Vinay Naik, coastal security force officer H D Kulkarni, sub-inspector Joy Antony, crime sub-inspector Chandrashekhar visited the spot and cordoned off the area for undertaking thorough investigations.
At present, the naval officers have arrived at the spot and are assisting in identifying the equipment. Questions are being asked about the origin and purpose of this missile part found in the Arabian Sea.
