Bangalore, May 2: The much-awaited results of Second PUC were announced here on Friday May 2 afternoon. As perceived largely after the exams, the overall percentage of students who have passed has drastically come down.  In all 41.33% students have passed out. As usual girls have out numbered boys.  While 42.24% of the girls have passed, only 35.33% boys have managed to clear the exams at one go.

Just like the last year Dakshina Kannada district has topped the list with a total aggregate of 76.72% while Udupi has stood second with 76.2%. Kodagu district is on the third place with 60.63%. Bidar which was on the last place last time has maintained its position with 16.57%.  However, the biggest loser has been Belgaum which has slipped to 19th place from the 9 place it managed to get last time. Once again rural students have outshined the students from city area.
