Mangalore, May 7: The tiny seed that was sown in Rosario church, Mangalore through the instrumentality of Fr Urban Stein, the founder of Ursuline Franciscan congregation in the year 1887 has grown into to a mighty tree spreading its braches all over India and overseas. Mysore Province of the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation was formed in the year 1998. The sisters inspired by the patron St Angela Merici and the founder Fr Urban Stein, share in Jesus’ ministry of establishing God's kingdom of love, peace and equality through the process of faith formation, education, healthcare, empowerment of  women and family apostolate, care of the orphans and handicapped, developmental works among the socially and economically-backward people.
